Augie's Quest Tradition of Hope Gala
I am honored to be this year’s recipient of the Augie’s Quest Tradition of Hope Courage Award “given to an individual who exemplifies courage in the face of Adversity. A person who uses their spirit and zest for life to turn misfortune into a beacon of hope”. I can only hope to live up to this ideal, and for a long time.

When Augie and Lynne Nieto asked if I were willing to accept this incredible honor, I was deeply touched. I write to you now to urge you to join Ben and me at the 9th Annual Tradition of Hope Gala to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 25th.
Augie's Quest and Beyond ALS Combine for ALS-TDI
Augie, Lynne, Ben and I, with many others, are dedicated to raising research funds for the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS-TDI). The great folks there have a single-focus goal they keep with an incredible sense of urgency: to find treatments for Lou Gehrig’s Disease for people living with ALS today. In essence, in our lifetime – the lifetime of those of us diagnosed with ALS. That, sadly, is not a very long time. So action is needed now. ALS-TDI is taking the lead and you joining us will make their goal possible – in my lifetime.
If you have already donated, thank you! For those who have waited for the right time, this is it! Please join us on October 25th. Information on tickets, sponsorship opportunities and other details can be found here.
If you cannot make it, please consider making a donation to ALS-TDI either through Augie’s Quest, or BeyondALS.
This disease is relentless and doesn’t wait. I humbly ask you do not either.
Thank you!
